Some of Charlie’s (somewhat) More Recent Talks or Panel Discussions (all of which have a common networking theme)

Topic: Time, Talent, and Twitter: Engaging and Activating the Next Generation of (Young Professional) Givers. Spur Impact Executive Director Charles Vincent presented a short talk on "Time, Talent, and Twitter: The Future of Giving" at Tech Impact's 2021 Tech Forward conference on Sept. 14, 2021.

Topic: Crypto Philanthropy. Charlie regularly shares his expertise and insights into the ways nonprofits should be thinking about how they can incorporate cryptocurrency into their annual giving campaigns, including the technical processing components and other considerations.

Topic: How to Raise More Than a Million Dollars in 24 Hours, or Activating the Young Professional (and Greater) Community around a Common Philanthropic Goal (such as through a giving day event). Charlie led the team behind the strategy, planning, and execution of Delaware’s largest giving day event (Do More 24 Delaware), which has raised more than $5 million over the past three years. In its first year, that Charlie and his team were involved, the event raised nearly $400,000 for 276 nonprofits from nearly 4,000 donors in March 2020 (two weeks before the pandemic shut down the Delaware economy), nearly $2 million (a 5x increase) for 412 nonprofits from more than 10,000 donors in March 2021, and more than $2.6 million for 452 nonprofits from more than 12,000 donors in March 2022. In terms of social activation, the #DoMore24DE hashtag generated more than 2 million impressions on Instagram and Twitter alone during the 24 hour fundraising marathon in March 2021 and March 2022.

Topic: From Idea to Impact: Networking and Connecting Leaders Across Generations in Support of a Common Leadership Goal (such as a cool event that draws a ton of people each year). Building an effective team of multi-generational volunteers that is passionate about leadership and making a bigger impact in the community takes a lot of patience and coordination, as well as good networking and listening skills. In less than three years, the #MILLSUMMIT grew from a coffee conversation about finding other young professionals with common interests to becoming one of the country’s largest leadership & professional development conference for young professionals seeking to make a bigger impact in their careers and communities. The pandemic pivot took some effort, but the result was an event more successful hybrid experience. Through and post-pandemic, the #MILLSUMMIT each year draws more than 1,000 young professionals who work across the world and the full spectrum of recent graduate to seasoned professional looking to take on the gig economy, academia, corporate America, and everything in between. Attendees of the conference network, connect with, and are inspired by each other and learn from experts that cover topics including leadership, professional development, entrepreneurship, nonprofit and community impact, the arts, and many other things relevant to the young professional leaders of today’s economy. The #MILLSUMMIT is atop the country when it comes to an impactful hybrid event for young professionals looking for a unique and meaningful leadership and professional development experience.
